Linsheng Zhang, MD, PhD is Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang's specializes in diagnostic hematopathology integrating morphologic examination, flow cytometric immunophenotyping, cytogenetics, FISH, and microarray studies; and molecular diagnosis of solid tumors. He serves as an attending physician on the Hematopathology and Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory service at Emory University Hospital.
Dr. Zhang received his MD from Third Military Medical University in Chongqing, China in 1986 and his PhD from Institute of Hematology at Beijing Medical University in China in 1995. He completed his Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2011. At Emory University, Dr. Zhang completed fellowships in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
Dr. Zhang's research interest is in the genetic profiling of hematologic malignancies including myeloid neoplasms, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and solid tumors, especially lung cancer and melanoma, using high resolution microarray, RNA-seq, and panel gene sequencing, aiming at bringing these into clinical laboratory as routine diagnostic tests.
