It wasn't really "care". More of consultation. He provided nothing. Didn't even look away from polishing his glasses. Dismissed my request for a diagnosis. |

I went to a neurologist at Piedmont for several years and even went to John's Hopkins in Baltimore twice, and was misdiagnosed. Within 20 minutes of being at Emory, Dr. Kesner diagnosed me differently, and this was proven to be correct via genetic test. |

I felt to care of the providers both the doctor clinician both took was very good. There is no further treatment since this issue was fairly rare and there is no treatment plan. |

Both genetic counselor and Dr. Barrios were knowledgeable, had good bedside manner, and extremely competent. I left feeling very heard, which is something I find less and less at some doctors, and also they took the information my Dad and I gave them and were able to take from it what mattered and then ask their own questions or exams. I've been to quite a few appointments in the past few years, this office blew me away. |

Dr V was extremely knowledgeable and well prepared for the appointment. He had already reviewed my chart and was familiar with details about from 10+ years ago. I appreciate the extra effort he took to be ready to talk with me when he walked into the room. |

I'm 19 y/o and the Dr. Rattled off a whole bunch of other test I would need and places tumors could grow. It freaked me out a bit. It seemed like he just had a bunch of stuff to say but didn't look up to see my reaction. |

I always feel like I am very much apart of the conversation when it comes to my treatment. Although Dr. V disclosed his wife works for the manufacturer of the medication, I always feel like he focuses on me and not trying to push any new medications etc. I really appreciate that about him. |

My whole genome has been tested by a lab which is CLIA certified and CAP accredited. I sent the results in months before my appointment. No one ever looked at those results, which are likely pertinent to the issues I have. They were not sure they had the software to see the results. Both the Doctor and the genetic counselor understood my diagnosis (rare migraine type) very well and understood that I also know my diagnosis very well. They were respectful. It was a great relief to finally talk to someone who understands the disease somewhat. |

The Genetic Counselor, in this case, was remarkable. She took plenty of time and concern for me. She apologized preemptively for my experience trying to schedule and truly helped me through this stressful season for me. |
