Rachel Veldman, RN, BSN, OCN, is senior manager, clinical services and operations, for Winship's Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Center. She has experience in inpatient and outpatient bone marrow and stem cell transplant and research, medical oncology, and chemotherapy infusion. She manages the referral office and also manages the BMT Coordinator Office where she helps drive the Winship Way and optimize standardization and LEAN principles.
Ms. Veldman has worked with oncology patients since graduating from nursing school, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She joined Emory in 2008, working as a BMT coordinator for several years prior to moving to the New Patient Referral Office. She oversaw the restructuring of the referral office to combine the Malignant Hematology and BMT teams and helped lead the New Patient Disease Pod transition by creating standard work and implementing workflow.

Ms. Veldman obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University.
