Thota Ganesh, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Ganesh is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Ganesh received his PhD in Chemistry and his MSc in Organic Chemistry from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. He completed his postdoctoral training at Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India and University of Durham in Durham, England.

Research
The overall goal of Dr. Ganesh's research is to work with disease oriented biomedical research investigators to develop small molecule drugs for a variety of medically unmet central nervous system and peripheral diseases. He is also interested in developing novel small molecule therapeutic agents to treat Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy.
